The move to LA after she dropped out of school to pursue an acting career that was professional. Lucy's Piano, a short film from 2006, was her first feature film. In 2009, after playing an important part for the film 17 Again, Alice McKee was featured as the lead character in Blood: The Last Vampire as the leading role. It was in 2009 that she had her first major break in television when playing the role of Alice McKee in the fantasy action film Blood: The Last Vampire. She also played significant parts on the series Terra Nova Go On and Selfie. Recently, she played the main role in a drama family show called A Million Little Things.
