
Suzanne Pleshette, born 31 January 1937 and passed away 19 January 2008 was an American film theatre, television and voice actor. Pleshette began her stage career, and appeared in films in the 1950s and later. She was later featured in a number of notable films, including Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). Later, she appeared in a variety of television shows, usually in guest roles. She she was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 until 1978, earning several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on January 31 in 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish and the children of immigrants from Russia, Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was stage manager at the Paramount Theater in Manhattan and also of the Paramount Theater in Brooklyn,
